Costco partners with local affiliated Lennox contractors to do the installation and ensure quality work. If Costco doesn’t offer installation services in your location, they will recommend a dealer or you can find other Lennox contractors.

An HVAC system consists of heating, ventilation, and air-conditioning units. If your HVAC system breaks down or if it’s just getting old, it may be time to find a high-quality replacement.

Avoid waiting for your existing HVAC system to stop working entirely, as you will be unable to keep your home cool in summer and warm during winter.

If you’ve decided to replace your whole HVAC system or just parts of it, you have two options.

One is to buy an HVAC unit directly from an HVAC retailer, and the other is to shop with a wholesale company that acts as the middleman.

Many homeowners shop for appliances, technology, and HVAC units at Costco, which sells products from big-box retail stores.

How much you’ll pay for a Costco AC unit depends on the type of unit you’re looking for.

If you want to install a Costco air-conditioning unit, you can expect to pay from $3,110 to $7,340. Buying heating pumps at Costco costs between $1,425 and $4,400.

Pro Tip: You can receive a 10% discount on qualifying heating and air-conditioning systems if you use the Costco shop card. All you need to do is request a consultation or call for a free in-home consultation, and you can save up to $1,000.

Many HVAC systems are sold through manufacturer’s rebates, which are offered by larger retailer companies like Costco. If you’re looking for a heat pump, an air-conditioning system, or a furnace at Costco, you’ll be offered products manufactured by Lennox.

If you buy an HVAC unit from Lennox’s collection through Costco, you’ll get the 10% discount we already discussed.

There are many more advantages to buying a Lennox HVAC unit through Costco. For instance, you’ll be entitled to a free consultation, which will be conducted by a professional service provider. The free estimate will tell you how much you can expect to pay for the unit, installation fees, and taxes.

Even though Lennox HVAC units are sold at higher prices, installing them pays off in the long run. These units are made to be extremely energy-efficient, so you’ll save money on electricity and utility bills.

If this is something you’re interested in, here’s how the process goes.

First, you’ll need to request a consultation, which you can either do on Costco’s website or call the number that’s provided on the home page.

Costco will send a contractor, who is also a Lennox dealer, to your address.

Once they come to your house, take the necessary measurements, and determine what kind of HVAC system best fits your home, you’ll need to pay for the installation.

Lennox is an industry-leading heating, cooling, and air-conditioning company. It offers various heating and cooling systems, including rooftop units, split systems, the Lennox VRF, mini split systems, heating systems, and more.

Lennox is well-known for producing energy-efficient furnaces, heat pumps, and air conditioners that are the best on the market. Lennox also specializes in indoor air quality products for ventilation and humidity control, as well as thermostats and sensors.

Other products sold at Lennox include air filters, dehumidifiers, furnaces, and boilers.

All Lennox products are divided into three categories, which are the Merit, Elite, and Signature series. They’re marketed as Lennox’s good, better, and best series.

Products from the Merit series are the least expensive, while anything from the Signature series commands a high price. All three of these series from Lennox come with ENERGY STAR certifications and SEER ratings, which stands for “seasonal energy efficiency ratio.”

Lennox also developed a whole-home HVAC system called the Ultimate Comfort System, which combines the best units from the Signature collection.

All the components of the Ultimate Comfort System are in sync in order to produce consistent and clean air. The whole system is controlled with the iComfort S30 smartphone app, which allows homeowners to regulate the temperature in their homes at all times.

Did you know? You can only buy Lennox HVAC systems through an authorized dealer, like Costco.

Which Is Better, Trane or Lennox?

Trane is another HVAC retailer company that offers air conditioners, furnaces, heat pumps, and ductless systems.

Just like Lennox, Trane sells its products through authorized dealers. Trane’s products also have smart features, like smart home compatibility, humidity control, variable fans, and smart thermostats, so choosing between the two might be challenging.

Lennox HVAC units are more expensive than Trane products.

A Trane air-conditioning unit installation will cost $3,267 to $6,100. You can find cheaper Lennox products with the Costco discount.

Lennox also offers better quality and energy efficiency, while Trane focuses on manufacturing durable HVAC systems.

As opposed to Lennox, which offers warranties spanning two to ten years or for the life of the HVAC unit, all Trane units are covered by a five-year warranty.

Lennox also has better SEER ratings than Trane.

To determine which of these two HVAC brands is a better fit for your home, you’ll need to set your priorities.

If you’re looking for supreme energy efficiency, Lennox HVAC products are for you. If you want a budget-friendly option, it’s better to shop with Trane.

Either way, you won’t have to sacrifice quality and reliability with either of these HVAC brands.

Costco vs Home Depot HVAC

Home Depot is another multinational retail corporation that offers HVAC systems. It’s also the biggest home improvement retailer in the U.S.

Just like Costco, Home Depot sells HVAC systems from other brands. You can find a wide variety of HVAC system products at Home Depot, including air conditioners, coolers, fans, air purifiers, dehumidifiers, and heaters.

One advantage of buying an HVAC unit at Home Depot is that you’ll find other brands there, not just Lennox. To be more specific, Home Depot offers HVAC units from Carrier, Rheem, and Amana.

Home Depot also offers a free in-home consultation. You’ll just have to request a consultation on their website.

Once the Home Depot service provider comes to your home, they’ll be able to tell you which brand and product is the best fit. The unit will be installed by professionals.

You can also request an appointment for repair and maintenance services.

Did you know? If you buy an HVAC unit at Home Depot, you’ll receive a one-year warranty and tune-up services with a 90-day guarantee. Unlike Costco, Home Depot doesn’t offer a discount on the HVAC unit. But they do offer a 120-month financing plan, which allows you to get fixed, low monthly payments for over 10 years. You can also choose a 12-month payment plan with no interest.

What HVAC Brand Is The Best?

Lennox is one of the best HVAC brands on the market. Some of its main competitors are Carrier, Bryant, Goodman, and Trane. We’ve already discussed Trane, so now, we’ll focus on the other three.

Carrier

Carrier is a top-tier air-conditioning and heating brand. It offers HVAC solutions for residential and commercial properties.

Carrier offers energy-efficient, ultra-quiet operation and products from air conditioners and furnaces to ductless systems and thermostats.

Carrier HVAC units are also known for their high prices. If you want to install Carrier’s 4 SEER Comfort Series air conditioner, you would need to set aside $4,892 to $7,224 for the installation. So, it’s definitely not for homeowners who are on a budget.

Carrier offers a five-year warranty for all their products.

Rheem

Another industry leader is Rheem, which offers durable HVAC units for low cost.

The average price to install a Rheem HVAC unit is between $3,150 and $4,000.

Apart from standard heating and cooling equipment, Rheem offers water heaters, mini split systems, pool and spa heaters, water softeners, and many more products.

Rheem products are covered by a five-year warranty.

Goodman

The third top HVAC company we’ll talk about is Goodman. Goodman offers air conditioners, heat pumps, gas furnaces, and packaged units.

It also offers low-cost options and smart home compatibility.

If you want to install a Goodman HVAC unit, you can expect to pay from $3,188 to $4,275.

Costco HVAC Reviews

The Costco HVAC deal comes with both positive and negative reviews.

It’s important that Costco customers are satisfied with the service they were provided with.

The comments mainly say how the service providers are punctual and professional and that they were able to find the best HVAC solution for the home. Costco also explains the entire HVAC installation project to the homeowner, allowing them to be part of the process.

The negative comments are mainly about the price of the Lennox unit, even with the Costco discount.

Lennox is one of the most expensive HVAC companies on the market, but you’ll be paying for an HVAC unit that’s going to last for years and keep your home comfortable all year round.

Does Lennox Offer A Money-Back Guarantee?

If you want to return a Lennox HVAC unit, you’ll have to do it through Costco.

Costco offers a 100% satisfaction guarantee. If you want to return a product, you’ll need to take it to any Costco warehouse and bring the receipt.

Keep in mind that this guarantee has some limitations, and your return may not be processed.

Pro Tip: Some products need to be returned within 90 days after they were purchased. If you want to know more about Costco’s return policy, you’ll find more information on its website.

Lennox Air Conditioner Warranty

Lennox does offer warranties for their products, but they depend on the series.

Products from the Merit series are covered by a five-year warranty, while the Elite series products come with a five-year warranty on parts and a 10-year compressor warranty.

Products from the Signature collection each come with a 10-year warranty.

The warranty also depends on the type of product you’re getting. For Lennox air conditioners, you’ll get a one-year warranty on the covered components and a five-year warranty on the compressor. Gas furnaces come with a 20-year warranty for the heat exchanger.

When it comes to unit heaters and duct furnaces, there are three warranties you’re entitled to. You’ll get a one-year warranty on covered components, a two-year warranty on aluminized steel gas heat exchangers, and a five-year warranty on stainless steel gas heat exchangers.

Is A Costco Lennox Unit A Good Deal?

If you take advantage of Costco’s special deal for Lennox HVAC units, you’ll get 10% off the total price. Compared to other licensed dealers, this is a good deal.

Additionally, Costco will send a professional contractor to your home to give you a free estimate. This is a hassle-free process that won’t require you to leave the house.

Buying A Lennox HVAC Unit With Costco

If you’re interested in buying a Lennox HVAC unit through Costco, you will receive a special 10% discount on the total price. All you need to do is request a free in-home consultation, and they will do the rest.
